City of Tampa Calendars

I’ve always liked the calendar of events the city has, and had found an RSS feed for them I’d followed for several years. But I wanted a way to view them all on my calendar. I finally reached out to the folks at Tech & Innovation and asked if there was such a thing, or a feed I might be able to create my own. I was in luck, there was such a raw feed and I set about cobbling together an iCal feed for the events. I shared my work with the team that provided me with the raw feed, they thought it was such a good idea they contributed back some improvements which resulted in not only a “firehose” feed of all events, but categorized calendar feeds for various parts of the city.

If you would like to subscribe to any of the calendars, check the full list of feeds. The links should open in your calendar app of choice. You should be able to set the frequency it updates. Apple defaults to once a week, the feeds are checked and updated daily.

Standard caveat this is open source and privately maintained using open city data, so if you find an official link on tampa.gov I would recommend using that if it’s mission critical. That said, the calendar is useful to me and I will be maintaining it as best I can. If you encounter any issues please reach out.
